This capital was located in the crypt of the church of Sant Pere de Madrona and brought to the museum in around 1914.
The figure wears a tunic and a crown, and grasps a stem in outstretched arms.
It has traditionally been considered that the inscription on the abacus, MIRUS ME FECIT, referred to the promoter of the work, but nowadays, the hypothesis that it is the sculptor’s signature is gaining ground.
