Dolmen de la Pera

Dolmen de la Pera

The museum in the region

Funerary monument built towards the end of Neolithic and used until Middle Copper Age. By its typology, this dolmen is an example of the so-called Catalan gallery: a space closed with slab stones with an access through a corridor and the whole complex covered by a burial mound.

This dolmen was excavated in 1984 by the team of the archaeologist Josep Castany. Among the grave goods we highlight some materials, such as different fragments of Bell Beaker pottery, a copper ring, pieces of flint knives, a piece of necklace made of variscite and another one made of amber, and a fragment of a drilled scallop shell.

To get there, go to Su and then follow the road to Ardevol until you see a sing that will lead you to the Dolmen (a 10 minutes walk)
