The Museu Diocesà i Comarcal de Solsona is currently governed by a Board of Trustees, the highest body responsible for the management and administration of the Museum, subsequent to the Agreement signed on 22 January 1982 between the Department for Culture and Media of the Government of Catalonia, the Diocese of Solsona and Solsona City Council. In 1995, a new Member joined the Board of Trustees of the Museum in representation of El Solsonès District Council, without modifying the Agreement signed previously.
This Agreement made it possible to pool the current collection of the Museu Diocesà i Comarcal de Solsona, composed of the collections of the Diocese of Solsona, the ethnographic collection of the City Council and the repositories of archaeological material of the Solsonès district contributed by the Government of Catalonia. Since then, each of the three institutions has contributed staff and resources to the smooth running of the Museum.
