This high relief is one of the compartments of the old altarpiece of the high altar of the church of Santa Maria de Preixana. It depicts the Epiphany scene with the three kings delivering their offerings, accompanied by two pages and a horse. Below the scene, in the predella, we observe the half bodies of Saint Peter, Saint Philip, Saint James and Saint John. The church of Santa Maria houses another compartment of this altarpiece with the representation of the scene of the Dormition of the Mother of God.

It is a Catalan work bearing relation to the sculptural works of Jordi de Déu.
