MDCS 4026. 1-3

Small sculptural group representing the theme of the Madonna and Child in Glory and two angels. The image of the Madonna holds a flower in her left hand and the Child in her right; the Child is holding a small box. The two angels have candleholders in their hands. The style of the group is similar to the ivory figures that survive from the area of Provence and Languedoc, dating from the second third of the 14th century, although it could also be a Catalan work from this period.
