Image of the Madonna seated on a throne. She wears a tunic and a cloak that reaches down to her feet; she has shoes on. The child is seated on his mother’s lap, raising his right hand in a blessing and holding the book in his left. The composition with the child seated in the middle of his mother’s lap is very common in Romanesque imagery. The conservation status of this Madonna and child, a somewhat rigid piece, is rather poor. The Madonna is missing an arm.
