This alabaster high relief that was probably part of a large altarpiece features six figures. In the centre of the foreground, Mary holds the lifeless body of Christ as he is taken down from the cross. The two figures in the background flanking the cross, Nicodemus and Joseph of Arimathea, are showing the nails and pliers. The entire unit is worked inside a scalloped niche. Mary Magdalene is carrying a bottle of perfume and Saint John is carrying a book. Remnants of the polychromy survive.
