The Contemporary Era is the period spanning the 19th and 20th centuries.
The first room of the museum houses a selection of models and sculptures and other assorted objects with the common feature of having been made exclusively with rock salt from the mines of Cardona. They come from the salt Museum that Fr. Joan Riba set up in the mid-19th century in Cardona and which, upon his death, was purchased by Bishop Riu and transferred to Solsona.
In the last room, there is a display case from the period of Isabella I with a selection of beautifully decorated fans from the 19th and 20th centuries.
